The Investiture ceremony of S. D. R. Umrigar High School (Eng. Med.) for the academic year 2019-2020 was held on 7th September, 2019 on the school skating rink.
S. D. R. Umrigar school was privileged to have Ms. Minalben as the cheif guest. The teachers of Unnati English Academy also graced the function.
The ceremony started with the felicitation of chief guest and our school Principal Mrs. Sonal Choksi and then they lighted the lamp which signifies removal of darkness and moving in the path of wisdom and divinity. It was followed by the prayer. After this, the members of the student council of the previous year were appreciated for diligently performing their duties. At this moment, the previous year’s head girl Riddhi Teli shared her experience. After this, the names of the members of the new council were announced. Amatulla Attari was bestowed as the Head Girl and Parth Vadera was bestowed as the Head Boy. Student council was given sash, badge and house flag by the Principal, Vice Principal and the House masters. The Vice Principal – Mrs. Bhairavi Athavale administered the oath to the students council. The newly selected Head Girl and Head Boy addressed the gathering. Mrs. Sonal Choksi congratulated the new council and gave the inspiring speech, reminding the council that they are the torch bearers of all the values that the school stands for and take up the responsibility of commitment and integrity.
The ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks and March Past by the new council. It was a memorial day for the S. D. R. Umrigar High School.
